This will be the first Budget announcement to take place in the Autumn following Philip Hammond’s appointment as Chancellor of the Exchequer. The Autumn Budget will be delivered on Wednesday 22nd November in the House of Commons at 12:30pm.
The Autumn Budget is expected to follow a similar structure to the former Spring Budget. The first part of the statement typically begins with a review of the nation’s finances and the economic situation. The statement then moves on to proposals for taxation.
