Summary
The Real Living Wage is an hourly amount suggested by the government to sufficiently cover the cost of living. It’s a voluntary rate paid by employers who choose to go above and beyond the National Minimum Wage (NMW) to ensure their staff are always paid enough to cover the usual living expenses.
